    • The aim of the project

      DG FARMER aims to tackle the limited resources for digital training materials on sustainable agricultural practices and promote the implementation of the EU's Farm to Fork Srategy, particularly among VET professionals and trainees in the agri-food sector by upgrading and retraining their skills.

      The project will highlight the benefits of transitioning to sustainable food systems and production methods in the EU and the importance of the Farm to Fork strategy for sustainable agriculture DEVELOPMENT.

      Project objectives

      • Teach and upskill VET professionals and educators to use innovative digital tools in the agri-food sector;
      • Promote digital education as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic;
      • Promote the Farm to Fork strategy and other EU policies related to agriculture;
      • Promote practices based on the sustainable, smart, and inclusive growth of the agri-food sector;
      • Equip the target groups with innovative working tools;
      • Raise awareness of the systematic connection between human well-being and biodiversity conservation

      Target groups

      The target groups of the project:
      • VET professionals and sneakers in the agri-food sector who want to increase their competences and learn more about EU policies to implement sustainable agricultural practices;
      • Small, medium and large farmers, non-governmental organizations, training centers, educational institutions and researchers, agricultural cooperatives, practitioners and representatives of local authorities and government institutions.

      Partners

      The project brings together 6 partners from 5 European countries, forming a transnational cooperation partnership with a balanced regional geographical representation of the Erasmus+ Area.

      Funding

      Digital Education on the Farm to Fork strategy DG FARMER project is financed by European Commission, Erasmus+ program, Action type: KA220-VET - Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training (No. project: 2021-1-HR01-KA220-VET-000033253).

      Total duration of the project is 24 months, in implementation period from 01-11-2021 - 01-11-2023.
